Wasn’t exactly fair on behalf of the topic starter (me) to have this done. I didn’t do anything wrong. Again, why punish the whole classroom when only one person (or at least a minor amount) was accountable. I won’t argue this anymore, I’m just saying I don’t think locking that thread was very fair, Especially to me, cause I wanted to hear people’s thoughts on the topic. If you don’t like what people have to say, ignore them - But I guess that’s easier said then done for some people.
It has been said over and over and over (ad nauseum for those that have too keep saying it) that these topics do not belong in the Pub. The problem with what you’ve said here is that sure, those of us who would prefer to not have to endure political and religious topics can just ignore them. BUT, this has already been done, and those topics take over to the point that they are no longer ignorable. That’s why the rubber room, and now Congrat’s Poli/Religious board was created. While you were asking sincerely, there are too many people here who take advantage of such opportunities and run with it. If there is anyone you should be upset with, it’s them…not the moderators who have made it more than clear that there is a zero tolerance policy regarding such postings.
Posting about locked threads is also a no no. Sorry, but that’s the way it is.
We have set policies that are for all to follow and by the grace of whomever, most people are content to do so.
The way I see it, it is like TV, if you don’t like something, then do some channel surfing… there are more than enough meesage boards out there that do not pay much attention to policies and pretty much allow anything.
