Paddy Moloney deserves any awards he is given. He is a brilliant musician and a regular nice guy.
I had the extreme honor to play with the Chieftains in 2001 and 2009. I was treated with kindness, grace, and a lot of hospitality from Paddy and the gang.
I asked him about doing a solo recording and he replied that he wants to, but that they were in the middle of recording the San Patricio album.
I told him he had better hurry up because we were all waiting and he promised he would get to it. Well…still waiting 
I congratulate him on a well deserved award!
