Lousy pictures, but this could be a good deal for someone.
The photos of the Low D are really not good and the way they are taken I thought I write to the seller suggesting to have one of the head or the back of the bottom end to identify it better. The head from what I can see at the moment looks not shaped enough on the sides but this can be because it is not sharp enough a photo.
But this auction is one for sure

Looks like a Chieftan, doesn’t it, with that stamped D?
I had a look at the photos and the D stamp does not look like the one Bernard used and the the hole size and placement does not look much like what I have made.
I just had a look and the stamp and finger hole size/placement looks identical to an early Chieftain I have here. If anyone from C&F was wanting an Overton and was thinking to bid on it check first with the seller about the head shape and if it is stamped Overton.
