I know how partial whistle players are to their whistles, yet I wonder if they play other instruments.
Just out of curiosity - what other instruments, however inferior, do you play?

Guitar, bass, mountain dulcimer, and fiddle. ![]()

Well, for Irish music, I play bodhran too, though not as often nor as well as whistle…I’m also looking into getting more serious about figuring out flute.
Besides that, I play clarinet, sax, a little basson, and a variety of Renaissance instruments (recorders, crumhorns, etc.).

In addition to whistle I play flute, recorder, quena, South American panpipes (sikus), and kaval. I tried harmonica, learned a few simple tunes, but didn’t stuck with it.
Attempting flute
Blues Harp

I’d love to have a go at tenor banjo and perhaps bazouki, but neither time nor money really permit…
Let’s see, in the order in which I started learning them:
Clarinet
Harmonica
Sax
Basoon
Flute (the nickel-plated student model kind)
Guitar

I can’t decide what to try next, Mandolin or some kind of Dulcimer.
Probably whatever is easiest to sneak into the house w/o my wife seeing ![]()
I think I may have musical A.D.D., I can’t stick with one instrument for long.
I tend to hop around a lot.
