OT: My Sad News

I have been in the UK since Wednesday (returned to Ireland an hour ago), where I sat through the day and night with my father and brothers and sisters, keeping watch over my mother.

She died last night, at the very untimely age of 68, after a protracted illness.

One of the things that keeps me going in business, is your very positive comments about the service you get from Shanna Quay and those comments have encouraged me to post this.

Thanks for your support.

Steve

My heartfelt condolences to you also. I have been playing and enjoying the whistle you sent to me this week little suspecting that you sent it in the middle of such difficult circumstances. Your mum would be proud of the way you treat your customers.

I am saddened by the passing of your beloved mother. Yet, I think how special it must be to leave this world with so many loved ones watching over you. I strongly believe that she is in a better place now that her work here is finished - the respect you have earned from your customers is evidence that your mother is a respectable woman who taught her children likewise.

Peace,
Gary

Dear Steve,

Words are tough to come by when one loses a parent. I shall play Aisling Gheal for her tonight, as I know she will hear it.

Steve,
It’s been six years since I lost my Dad - and we were very close. I hope you can find peace and comfort in appreciating the good things you shared, in knowing that the love between a parent and child is unique to itself, and that many people within this community (as well perhaps in the other “communities” of your life) empathize with you and support you in this trying time. Keep the good things of her close to heart.
Tim

I’m glad you could be there with your father, brothers and sisters during this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jim
