Wow Jessie that’s an amazing picture! Congratulations on the news!
That’s great, Jessie. We just found out that we’re having a little girl too. Our babies must be due about the same time. April?
ErikT?!?! You folks to? Congratulations!
Okay… out with it.
Who else around here is having a baby this spring??? That makes three of us who are having babies around April. Well, my due date is May 3rd, but as my first came two weeks early I won’t be surprised if this one is an April baby.
Congratulations Jessie! A little girl… that picture is SOOOOO neat! She’s gonna be a cutie! (Okay, she already is.)
Wonderful what technology can do. I go in to the midwife clinic tonight… and we’re hoping to find out the boy or girl thing to. And they have the 3-D ultrasound to and hopefully we’ll get a good picture.
I can see the problems with the old ultrasounds in telling if it’s a boy or girl, but with the detail of the new 3-D images, isn’t it pretty for sure to tell?
Sara
Yes, April! Congrats on yours, too!
If anyone wants to send us baby clothes/stuff, we’d greatly appreciate it!!

Where’s the cutie-pie thread when you need it?
Congrats! ![]()
Sara, let us know!!!

Now you’ve done it. I warned you earlier about the mysterious bags of clothes that show up from relatives. We still have bags of girl baby clothes in various closets and my daughter is almost 5! Maybe I will send a couple ![]()

Anyone who wants my mailing/shipping address, let me know. If you send lots of stuff, we’re talking free whistles!

Well, midwife thinks it’s a boy… enough to write “boy” in ink on my chart at any rate.
If so his name will be Silas James. Looked very much like a boy to me as well, and considering the umbilical cord was going up over the shoulder at the time… Didn’t do as much of the 3-D stuff as I thought we might, but she was in a hurry as I was the last patient of the day and there was a patient of hers at the hospital who was in labor and needed her assistance. Next time we go in it’s for a much longer ultrasound with a person who specializes in it, so if she says it’s a boy to, then I’ll start collecting boy clothes. ![]()
Sara
Congratulations, Sara! Thanks for telling us!

Great! The world can never have too many girls. ![]()
Sara, congrats on your boy!!
Best wishes,
Andrea
Not sure my son would agree with you…four sisters is way too many…poor lad!
Trisha
Thanks for the well wishes! ![]()
My four year old son over the last few months has been insistant that he wanted a baby sister and when asked why he said “Cause girls are pretty”. I think he was a little disappointed to hear that it wasn’t a girl, but this morning he sprung back to his typical excitement about the baby talking about all the things he’s going to do with his little brother. He just has no idea… wonder if his tune would change at all if he had four sisters. ![]()
Sara
Fortunately he still thinks his little sister’s OK. She likes cars and tractors and football…and mud

Is there a picture of the cat, too? I like both cats and babies. ![]()
Congratulations to all the expecting parents,
Justine
All you had to do was ask.
She’s the one on the right.

The one on the left is currently on my lap.

Wow!
Beautiful cats!
CONGRATS!!!
Hmmm . . . 2 cats, has WhOA, and going to be a Mommy.
Sounds like you have everything you need in life!
(and of course you have Dan too!)
Everyone seems to be growing future whistlers around here! That’s what I like to see, long term recruitment plans!
There is an Irish pub in my town (smoke-free) that has Irish music Sunday afternoons, (unfortunately it’s not an open session). Every Sunday local families go for dinner and music. There are kids running everywhere, dancing to the music and playing with each other. The adults sit back with a pint and enjoy the music and watch the kids. It’s truly a grand time!
