Some other boards I frequent would just have threads deleted and no apologies offered by any party ever. I think you all have found the key to world peace.

You want two things for the car: It has to be durable, to withstand the extreme temperatures, and it needs to be quiet.
I have an Oak and a Clare in the car. I’ve had Clarkes, too, but got sick of the way they play. Actually, at one point I had Susatos, and that’s when I discovered the “quiet” part.
I have a Clare in the car.
Mostly I play Susatos in the shower.
My car whistles are an Acorn D and a Sweetone C. I think there’s a Susato D out there somewhere but I haven’t seen it in months. My Clare 2-piece was my car whistle but now it’s my suitcase whistle.
Sindt. And a Water weasel for the car. And a Copeland low G and A for me. And Grannymouse’s Thin Weasel while I’m at it…I still want that one after getting to play it at Glenn’s

No whistles in the car–multiple whistles of varying pedigree (three Elfsongs (D,D,C), a Shaw A, a Clark, and some some more I don’t play often enough to remember).
