Hmmm, no need to apologize (to me at least). I for one can’t see why anyone on this board - with all of us being whistle addicts - should object to having some of the (quite few) whistle craftsmen offer special deals here.
I can see in general why some might object to commercialism on discussion boards. If this was a huge forum with thousands of people reading, and with hundreds of vendors all posting messages like “$$$ GET YOUR WHISTLES FOR CHEAP HERE! $$$”, surely something would have to be done. But for a forum of this size, with all of us considering ourselves part of a big “whistle family”, surely no harm is done if a whistle maker gives us a special offer once in a while?
