Hey, theres a few of us in Arizona that want to live in Colorado too! I was born there, and lived there until I was 22. Now I am trying to get back to Colorado as soon as possible… /!@#(*$!(@#!@! job market! (Course, I’m making a great salary where I am, I just hate a state where there are two seasons…hot and unlivable.)

I don’t know how California could be any more expensive than Rhode Island - my parents and I considered moving to Rhode Island about three weeks ago and after doing research were shocked at how expensive housing was! Be it the East or West coast, you’re paying for being by the water.

Just goes to show ya - the grass is always greener (especially in Ireland, 'cos it’s raining cats and dogs!). I’d KILL to visit Texas - it seems so exotic!

I just moved to LA and I like it.
The weather is amazing. The culture

wonderful–vegetarian heaven. People
are routinely friendly and go out

True, there is an ocean down south, but it just doesn’t seem as cool an ocean as the Pacific ocean. I could understand why you’d want to move here, since you have family. My dad lived in Odessa and Midland years ago, before I was born. I’ve been to West Texas many times. 3 bedroom 2 bath for $500,000 - WOW! that’s a lot of money! In Rhode Island, we found that a little frame house, 2 bedroom 1 bath, with un unfinished basement was like $200,000 to $300,000. Housing in Texas is very cheap compared to Silicon Valley and Rhode Island.
I’d love to live in Ireland. Or England.
I like the warm weather Miami Florida provides. Depending on the location, much of the real estate is affordable. It’s easy to find things here, be it cars, tools, schools, technology, musical instruments and culture of all sorts. It seems the worst part of living here is the lack of qualified drivers…
We have a big lack of qualified drivers in south Texas too. I always say I cn drive all over the country and come closer to getting killed just driving in the valley.
BTW Steve Power…will be over there next week but unfortunately…won’t be going through Adare.

Just a plug for the Midwesterners on the board. We have no oceans, no mountains, hot humid summers and bitter winters and a horrible lack of whistle teachers.
I’m not trying to convince any of you to move here - just trying to cadge a little sympathy for us less fortunate 'tweeners in the flyover states.
