Oscar Scandal--Air Whistling!!

A late-breaking news flash!

Our sources, deep in the heart of California (namely this week’s edition of “Us” magazine) have revealed a huge whistle hoax perpetrated on the viewing audience of the Academy Awards. According to this report, Paul McCartney–afflicted with stage fright at the prospect of playing with unknown (to him) musicians–came to an agreement with conductor John Williams. He agreed to perform, but on the condition that the only thing live be his voice. All other instrumentation during his performance of “Vanilla Sky” was completely faked.

The whistling community in Lethbridge, Alberta, has been hard hit by the news. “I always thought he was a sneak”, fumed one whistler. Music shops have reported thousands of whistles being returned. Police have noted an increase in panic-stricken 9-1-1 calls, mostly whistle-related.

Cross-continental coverage will continue as the news spreads…

You would expect something like that from those boy bands or Brittney Spears but I never would have beleived it of a whistler to lip I mean whistle sinc. What ever happened to artistic integrity?

Maybe he could change the name of the song to (Millie) Vanelli Sky..

Brilliant!

You mean he put it to his lips but didn’t exhale???

Now where have I heard that before?

You have to give him credit for keeping his fingers in time to the music. I need to make sound to know what to do with my fingers. My fingers would be going like a dubbed kung-fu movie.

I can’t help thinking Porrige had something to do with this. Or the Crystal People. I’m sure Dale’s keeping mum.
Tony

Are you guys kidding? The guy’s a “whistler”! You can bet he was playing along with the recording and probably adding ornamentals…

He could have used the Ressikan Flute for the performance then! That would have made things really interesting. . .
