I still think its Moisture condensate from the lungs and mouth, Air originating in a high moisture enviroment would produce an amazing amount of …err…wetness

Are you certain the fluid in question isn’t collected by the Crystal People to power their spaceships?
Quoth the Undisputed:
The starship Enterprise goes through a time warp and enters earth orbit just prior to the sinking of the Titanic.
But, wasn’t there already a movie called Star Trek: Generations? This was probably the original plot. Just goes to show what a bunch of Hollywood rewrites can do.
LOL

Star Trek Generations…
That was a story about a bunch a whistle players who favored a type of whistle who also traveled together thru space.
star trek and whistles.
Mmmmmm…
Picard’s whistle was a beautifully etched Copeland… could it be the one recently shown and sold on this web site???
Picard is probably one of the few people who could have afforded that whistle without taking a second mortgage on the house
)
I’m with Chuck - when the ‘fluid’ drops on the carpet, it doesn’t take long for the Crystal P#@/)&$~}^]| …
Piccards whistle is real. The F# hole is on the underside of the shaft. The makers name is etched in reverse inside the whistle just below the window and as there is no seam at the back of it..puzzling.Russel Crowe was seen to be playing an instrument resembling this during the making of A beautiful mind but will neither confirm nor deny this.I dare not say more, they are coming.
Peace,Mike
dale,
my gut reaction to all of this is that Andrea Corr drools!
tansy
In the matter of the C&F Mystery “The Ressikan Flute” played by Cptn. Pickard, I give this link…
Ressikan](http://www.startrekexp.com/store/prop_ressikan_flute.html%22%3ERessikan) Flute Prop
I also believe the original “Ressikan Flute” was, as Dale stated in his newsletter,an inoperative fake for the reasons he stated.I believe the above was quickly produced to placate rabid fans, but this last matter is only my opinion.
Will the real Ressikan please stand up?The one Dale has shown is not the same as the prop…hmmmm. Peace, Mike
Woops! sorry Thomas..should of read your post more carefuly before firing away.I know this has been discussed before but is it not unfeasible that the actor himself was playing on a real Whistle and the prop thing came later? Peace,Mike
From the Mysteries page:
Why don’t the makers of Generations do something about their quality control problem? I’m sure it comes down to money.
Look at it from this angle. If you can get someone to buy a whole box of whistles to find a good one, or people tweak and destroy your whistles in an attempt to improve them, don’t you sell more whistles than if they were all good? Besides, you have “pure-drop” musicians say they sound just fine.
Tony
I,m not a pure drop whistler(pure drip perhaps)but isnt it ironic that while other cheapies use gimics, endorsements, fipple re-design,color changes, girls names, new improved versions etc etc Generations plod along with all their faults and perfect imperfections and still remain the pro,s choice for oustanding tone and playability.Isn,t it a weird and wonderful world!?

This is a further addition to my post a few post,s up.Piccard appears to be fingering 2nd octA# or a short cut Ist oct A nat in the Trek pic and his right hand pinky position at rest on the end the whistle indicates he can actualy play the thing.Musical instrument props in films are fairly uncommon given the easy availabillity of the real thing.Although he may not be the soundtrack player I suspect he is playing a fully functioning whistle in the pic and not a fake prop.Treky fans love their props and the marketing suits probably arranged a switch-a-roo more for this reason.Just speculation of course, perhaps someone knows Patrick Stewart(I think thats his name) and simply ask him.
