Does anyone make it to the open sessions at BD Riley’s on Sunday nights here in Austin? Or actually, a better question might be; is there even any members who live in the Austin area?

I’ve been lving in Waco for the last couple years, and I make it down every so often to play at BD’s - lately however, I’ve been playing with a Austin Celtic band Cluan, and after rehearsals and gigs et al, I haven’t had much time to hit the session recently. Last I remember, though, it was a decent session, though some recent altercations between regulars has kind of thrown a monkeywrench in the works. You might still get a couple decent tunes, though, and there are a few folks worth playing with. Just go early and pray for a parking space.

Yep, right next to the Driskel hotel. At least it’s on Sunday, the parking downtown isn’t that bad on Sundays.
