On topic: I strongly recommend this online recorded concert

Search for “Wrigley”

You’ll get some concerts featuring The Wrigley Sisters. One of the concert links seems not to be working, but the May 12, 2002 concert is just delightful. It’s one hour and will play over your computer. Beautiful playing of Scottish traditional and other music along with some of the most entertaining banter I’ve heard.

Best wishes,
Jerry

This same place also has an incredible concert by Lunasa, really better than any of their albums, in 2001. There’s also a 2003 concert, but i haven’t listened to it yet.

Jerry, thanks so much for pointing us to this wonderful concert-- I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Makes my yearning to learn to play the fiddle that much stronger. These ladies are indeed charming… I could listen to their accents all day!

What a treasure trove is in the Kennedy Center archives! I found two more wonderful concerts:

Karen Casey

Cathie Ryan

Enjoy,

Edited to add: Ooh, ooh, OLD BLIND DOGS!!

and a new singer that I’d never heard before: Susan McKeown, with a very charming Johnny Cunningham on fiddle

While you’re at that site, check out Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem. Great band and good friends.

Thanks Jerry. That’s a great site.

Another note of thanks, Jerry, for sharing.

OMG! What an awesome voice the female vocalist has!

“she knows what she wants, and she knows how to get it…” Alright!!

Thanks for turning me on to Daisy Mayhem, Bloomy-Pie!

Right now I’m listening to Conal O’Grada, Ronan Browne, et al. Conal’s solo was quite the show-stopper.
