3 hours.
too bad. seems not to have sold. sounds lovely, this flute
sold? There wasn’t even a bid…
Lorenzo, Maybe you should by a few trinkets on ebay (up your number of comments)
I don’t know Denny, 27 seems to me a good enough number.
I’m surprised though, 34 people watching and not one bid. And it’s not overpriced. Maybe for that money people also want the foot keys?
If anyone here has an offer to make me, go ahead. The flute will be on ebay again when I come back from Ireland, in a couple of weeks.
I don’t know if you tried to sell it here, but maybe that would be worth a try–
even if you tried here already.
27 is less than the number of watchers ![]()
I was just graspin’ fer a straw…
thought he just did ![]()
I mean a determined listing, with pictures, clips, etc., both on this board and the used instruments board.
Might beat e bay.
I did, it didn’t work. I’ll try again.
Lorenzo:
If you can afford it, hold on to it for a while. It is well worth what you’re asking, but the market (and the world) is somewhat depressed right now. I have a superb flute (Wm Hall with Gallagher headjoint) that I’ve been trying to sell, too. I will not lower my price just to get rid of it - it deserves better than that. I suspect that’s true of your Potter as well.
Pat
I agree with Pat that the market is very depressed right now. I’ve seen Pat’s William Hall and your HY Potter up for sale for a while and thought that both were excellent flutes available from trusted sources at a very low price - less than most good keyless blackwood flutes, in fact. Jon C also has some great flutes up for sale. If nobody is buying flutes at all, due to the depressed economy, that might explain it, but if people are still paying this much or more for a new keyless flute it might also be a matter of many people not realizing how well some of these old flutes play. I think it helps to post availability fairly frequently, with some detailed explanation of playing characteristics and relative quality. Sound clips also help, I think.
Also don’t forget christmas is rearing it’s ugly commercial head..
I’d love to buy it Lorenzo but i just can’t right now.. And believe me, that grieves me.

If mods could put this new link in place of the link in the opening post it would be handy… Thanks
