OkGo - Here Goes Again

You may have heard of the backyard dance. This is better.

Hey, you’re supposed to be judging poetry, not farting around on youtube. (Or did you decide you just could not bear to part with that Phil Coulter CD?)

That choreography looks really familiar. I think they may be working with my 16 year old. If they sneak a Thriller/werewolf move in I’ll know for sure.

aw geez!
and to think my mom thought she was doing good just making it through watching the News while doing her treadmill thing.

Fun. I love the parts where it looks like they’re ice skating. For their next gig, they should do one of those numbers on the “people mover” at Atlanta airport.

Yeah, you’re right. But have you seen the spoofed Mac adds?

I haven’t found the Mac spoofs, but here’s the OK Go folks’ Ping Pong Instructional Video.

It’s just like regular tennis but with different rules.

Apparently, these guys are a real band (or at least as much of a band as Spinal Tap and more of one than the Spice Girls) – OK Go. (gonzo is way, way out of touch with the popular music scene, not having listened to any since blowing his eardrums listening to Tommy turned up way loud.)

The treadmill dance is great. The ping pong lesson was a little bland except for the “I can’t do this any more” argument with the mental toughness trainer.

Best wishes,
Jerry

ROTFLMAO!!! “A Million Ways” could be habit forming I think…

The ping pong thing was so-so. That first video they did, A Million Ways, has become this runaway internet craze and OK Go has started a contest, with kids from all over entering their version of the dance.

The best Mac ad spoofs are here: http://tv.truenuff.com/mac/ (they’re on YouTube, too). Watch for Linux guy, he’s the funniest thing about the ads, especially if you know Linux types.

If you’re really need a jolt (or you’re fearless), check out Appalachia State University (I didn’t realize Appalachia was a state, but then the South is a bit of a mystery to me).

It’s Appalachian State U. The “n” at the end makes it an
adjective. My brother went to ASU for a couple years. It’s a
notorious party school. Clearly someone was drunk when they
came up with that video!

Yeah, as a recent graduate of App, I’m pretty embarassed by that video… it gave us quite a bit of grief. What a stupid promotional idea!

I don’t know what they were thinking. & it’s even worse that the music school had some people involved, which is where I specialized. Oy. I think some much older alumni must have sought revenge for something that happened during their days back at ASU…

Ick.

If you want to make this Irish music-related, the music school does have a summer study abroad program in Ireland studying at UCC (I went & got to play in some pubs in Cork, though most of the students who attended didn’t know much about Irish music and hadn’t played any before as I had… heh.) :sunglasses:

Youtube is a great site, lots of hilarious entertainment at our fingertips!
