Obsession, by Kevin Krell

I know i’m preaching to the choir here, but Wooden Flute Obsession 2 is even better than the first volume. About the first volume, i said that it laid out the state of Irish flute playing in the 20th century. Now the second brings it all into the 21st. Simply amazing. Such a variety of performers and styles. Beat this, fiddlers!

So, if you still don’t have these CDs, you know what you have to do. Resistance is futile. Help Kevin feed his kids. Go buy some.

Where? Where? Where?

I could not find it on Amazon. I found they still have a couple of copies of #1, but not #2 that I could find.

Somebody more artistic than me should take a crack at making a Wooden Flute Obsession poster in the style of the Calvin Klein adds.

Of course…so we can all know we’re fat and dumpy!

I just received my copy today…and was stuck on the first three tracks!

Terrific, terrific work, Kevin.
I was even thrilled to hear Chris Norman on there. Well it should be.

One criticism…we need track numbers next to the names on the back of the CD. (I write mine in by hand).
Why? Driving along and I say, “wow, who’s that?” I grab the jewel case, look at it and…darn…I’ve gotta COUNT…while i’m driving. :astonished:

Easier if numbers were there on the back, for a quick reference.

I’m proud to have lobbied hard for Chris to be there. I wish he had submitted a stronger flute track, but since that was right when he had finished that Caledonian Flute CD, i’m not surprised he submitted the one he did. It’s a pretty good track, anyway.

And i agree strongly that the track numbers should be in the jewel case with the players’ names.

Well, they are numbered in the insert. I didn’t know it was going to be such a pressing thing to read while driving .

Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone. Let’s hope the magazine reviewers agree.
