Does anyone have a current email address for NPU. I’ve tried to email them twice now concerning my membership renewal using two different addresses - 1) the one on the website “contact us” address and 2) the one that came with a previous email from them to me.
and both come back as ‘delivery failure’.

I have always used membership@pipers.ie and had no problems. NPU are supposed to be getting a new web site. Perhaps they are in the middle of the upgrade (?).

That’s the one I used (replied to - so it wasn’t as if I typed it in wrong) as well as the one on their site (clicked on to open email - so again, no chance of typing it wrong).

I’ve had trouble getting to the new (I believe) website with another address but this address seems to work:

I am thinking you could go there and verify the email address. I am not a member and don’t have a password so I can’t go in that area. I think you can just renew right there, but perhaps you have questions or something.
Oh, I just saw you were replying to them. My info won’t help with that.
I tried to sign up for a membership and gave up after about 4 tries.
I just signed up now successfully. Got my password via email, etc. My computer did say that some security certificate was expired or not activated and then asked if I wanted to go ahead. Perhaps foolishy, I went ahead. I don’t know if that was what was causing your problem or not.

Yep, after numerous attempts and failures I ended up emailing one of the staff and it seems to have gotten through.

I was in touch with NPU recently. They put the upgrading of the website out to tender with the intention of getting a properly professional job done. Unfortunately, the firm which won the contract is evidently quite small, and has had problems with changes of personnel etc. so the whole project is taking much longer than originally expected.
That’s a bit worrying, one wonders whether the result will be an improvement!
Most firms end up doing macromedia flash rubbish instead of making the straightforward content actually work properly, and making the result easy to maintain and update. Let’s hope…

Exactly Bill. Flash has it’s place but it’d be wasted on this site in my opinion.
Content is king and a nice clean design would serve a lot better than a lot of nice looking animation. A good content management system would be the best thing.
