I’ve been trying to think of how to do this, but I might as well just come out and be blunt. I screwed up royally.
I was on the whistle tour for one of Avery’s whistles. I got the whistle and tried it out. I later packed it up and gave it to a family member who was running errands to send it out to the next person for me. Quite a bit of time later, I have discovered the aforementioned whistle package in my trunk.
I have sent an apology via PM to each of the folks on the tour list after me. In case they don’t see those, I wanted to offer the apology publicly as well.
I am deeply embarrassed, and very sorry for the terrible delay my irresponsibility has caused. The fault is 100% mine. It was my responsibility to make sure it got sent out, and I shirked that duty. I have learned a hard lesson in a hard way.
To those I have deeply inconvenienced, again, I’m extremely sorry and hope that – in time – you can forgive me.
