My apologies to all...

Dear friends,

I hope you will forgive my rashness this evening in trying to get the negative threads off the front page. I’m very sorry for the confusion and inconvenience I caused.

Those of you who commented that it was inappropriate, not my place to do, should have emailed Rich, etc., I agree with you. I shouldn’t have done it. I sent an email to Rich assuring him that I won’t ever try to take matters into my own hands again.

I will say, however, that I hope we can carry on from here somewhat more happily. I think the world of you folks, and it pains me to see so much discord.

In that vein, I hope you’ll indulge me by letting me repeat something here that I posted earlier today.

I'll take the lot of you. Good souls, all.

You've changed my life, and that of my children, as well, more than you can know, and I will be forever in your debt.

Jessie gave me my first whistle, and lots of great information and encouragement.

Ava wrote "Dallas Skies," which has lit a fire in my 11 year old daughter, who has just begun learning flute in fourth grade.

Jim Stone has got me ruminating about the nature of life and joy, in a way that's making my philosophical brain happier than it's been in a very long time.

Bloo, MarkB, E = Fb, Ridseard, Gogo, StewySmoot, BrewerPaul, SteveK and many others who post here regularly have inspired me with their kindness and encouragement, not to mention wisdom and wonderful humor.

Y'all are a godsend. Every one of you.

Best wishes,
Jerry

No problem, Jerry. It’s pretty obvious that your heart was in the right place, even if your mouse was a bit too close to the submit key.

Jef

Thank you for your intent, Jerry.

Absolutely! I don’t think there’s a single one of us (if we’re honest) who hasn’t done something well-intentioned but ill-advised at some time or another. You meant well. In my turn, I apologize if I overreacted…we’re having a major panic with my daughter’s school right now, and I was in stress mode.

Redwolf

Great that you’re here, Jerry.

As a peace-loving INFP personality type, I must admit that I was relieved when the nasty stuff got nudged off the page. Even though your “spacers” were deleted, it seems that you (at least indirectly) accomplished what you set out to do.
