New whistle rave (Elf Song)

I just received my first high-end whistle, an Elf Song. I am so impressed with it that I just had to tell everyone about it. To start with, it is a beautiful whistle, I got Summer’s Eve w/ Stars. Then I played it. Beautiful clear tone with nice volume. All of the notes really pop and are crisp. I haven’t checked it with a tuner but it sounds like it is very well in tune with itself. The C natural sounds just a scoche off but then I am just too lazy to do a full cross fingering. The low D is not mushy and the high B isn’t too hard to pop out without cracking (on all of my other whistles it is either one or the other). It is very responsive. It requires a little bit more air volume than most of my other whistles but not bad, I am getting used to it pretty quick. I even like the heft. Being made out of copper tubing, it is quite a bite heavier than you average low end whiste. It has a nice subtantial feel that I like. The only complaint that I have is that it is hard to get a grip on the smooth copper mouthpiece and it keeps slipping out of my mouth. I suppose that this will go away as a practice with it a bit. That and copper doesn’t exactly taste the best. This may well be the last whistle that I ever buy (though I haven’t removed the Burke session D from my wish list just yet  ).

I would love to see some pics of it. Elf song whistles are very beautiful whistles indeed.

There are photos of all the designs on the web site (I took all the photos for Sandy ): http://www.elfsongwhistles.com/Fingertube%20Designs.htm

Summer’s Eve with stars is 12th from the top.
