Has anyone tried these whistles (Susato high G,F,E) yet? I am really curious about how they compare to the Susato high D and C.
Gonna try and nip things in the bud.
Susato high -G- and -F- whistles are
still not on the market yet. We are
doing the tooling right now but it will
December in a “Best Case Scenario” and
probably after the new year before they
are available on the market. Not going
into details about how we develope a
new key or model whistle but it’s
quite a process to say the least. We
will make and sell high -G- and -F-
whistles and are taking orders but it
will be a little while. This is from
the source and not just a “rumour”. Our
apologies for any misconceptions or
misunderstandings.

Mike, if they’re not quite ready yet, which is certainly understandable, I would suggest that someone at Susato adjust the wording on the website to reflect this. Currently, it says, about the high E/F/G…“Above three models are new and will be available beginning late October 2001.”
Hey, and if anyone else out there wants some free advice, just ask. My wife says I’m full of it. I THINK she’s refering to advice.

Mike,
I would like to thank Susato for producing good quality, affordable and consistant whistles however, every soprano D I have played is consistantly sharp on the G note.Would it be possible to consider re-positioning the G hole slightly nearer to F# to correct this phenomena? I hesitate to use the word problem here as a whistle in this pricerange is more than acceptable and still way ahead of anything in its class.Peace,Mike ![]()
Jeferson,
Yup, we do need to update the Website and
will do so soon but I wanted it to be clear
to people who just frequent the board on
the “real” present status and apologize
for the delay. I’d explain the whole
process in how we develope a new model
but respectfully defer to Dale in not using this message board for commercial purposes.
We’d be happy to have him (Dale) or anyone for
that matter visit our shop and do an
independent report for the site on how we
do things, etc., etc. and with Dale’s
permission we could do a thread on the
Message board on our company and “Susato”
whistles as I’m sure the interest is out
their and I’d be happy to answer any
“general” questions on the whistles and
the company in a positive spirit. All the
best,
Kelhorn Mike
