New M&E R/R flute arrived yesterday!!

I received my new M&E R/R from Michael Cronnolly yesterday! I really like this flute. It just feels so comfortable to hold and play. The embouchure hole is smaller than my other flute, so it took a while to get used to that, but once I found the sweet spot, it really came alive!

Off to more playing!

Exciting. I went back and checked your earlier post when you said it was shipping. Then I figured Michael told me mine was shipping yesterday, so I am thinking…less than a week til it arrives. I can hardly wait.

Hey – I’m in Rockville and expecting one any day now, too! I’m off Friday, and it’s supposed to rain – good day for a polymer flute.

Excellent! Have you been down to the session in Bethesda on Wednesdays? I saw it advertised on this forum, and a friend of mine who plays mandolin and I were thinking of checking it out. I’ll likely be taking my whistle, since the flute is new to me.

I was pretty surprised it only took 6 days for it to get all the way accross the “pond” and most of the way accross the US since I live in a suburb of Phoenix, AZ.

No; haven’t heard about it. I keep meaning to go to Ri Ra, which has sessions on Sunday afternoons, but never get around to it.

Wednesdays are at the Ri Ra too.

In other news, my flute arrived this afternoon, so if I don’t post for a few days, you’ll know why.

Glad to hear you got it so soon. I’m wondering how it compares to my M&E. Unfortunately I won’t get to the session at Fibbers for another two weeks. At least there will be one flute among the bodhrans. :stuck_out_tongue:

I had a M&E/R&R on loan from Mr. Cronnolly that I shipped off to a buyer in Georgia last week. Is that anybody here?

Cheers,
Aaron

I am loving it. Loving it. I am thinking of adding keys eventually, do you have keys on yours? I may just wait to get a McGee with keys though, if/when I feel I’m good enough to warrant spending that kind of money.

No keys on my M&E. I may eventually get some added, but for now I’m just working keyless. The chart of cross fingerings for the accidentals on the M&E site works quite well.
