needed: one (Hoover narrow bore) in-law whistle

I just spent several days at my father-in-law’s place and discovered I need another whistle. I brought a Hoover regular bore with me, but my father-in-law is sick (which is why we’ve been going up there) and I was afraid it was going to be too loud, even with doors closed.

I’m wondering if anyone has a tuneable Hoover narrow bore high D they’re interested in parting with. That’s the quietest whistle I know; if it doesn’t work, nothing will. And hanging out with the in-laws is no time to not have your music :-/.

If you have one of these and are interested in selling (or trading, though I don’t know what I might have that would be a fair trade), please drop me a note at teryg93@comcast.net

Thanks,
Tery

bumping . . . just in case

Tery, I have a Hoover Narrow bore D for sale and the address you have posted doesn’t work for me. Please contact me off the board at reyburnwhistles@hotmail.com if interested.

I have a regular bore. I can’t imagine how little breath is needed to power a narrow bore. I bet you could face it into a summer breeze and play it.

Have you tried a whistle mute as described in another thread?
