So, I recently bought a great Michael Burke D aluminum session whistle, the wide bore model. I decided to go with the wide bore model because it’s supposed to be a bit louder, and I’m trying to be heard in a loud pub atmopherere. Anyway, it’s lovely but as it turns out the wide bore and the finger spacing just don’t work for me. I tried to exchange it, but Michael only takes returns/exchanges within 30 days of purchase. I got busy with other things and a couple of months went by, but I only played the whistle twice I think. I could sell it and go for the small bore, but then I thought maybe there’s someone out there that might want to exchange a wide bore for a narrow? I’m specifically looking for a Michael Burke aluminum (or brass) narrow bore session whistle. As far as shipping goes, I’m in Los Angeles. Drop me an email, I don’t check my pm’s often enough! Thanks! lawhistle@yahoo.com
I don’t know what you may be expecting from the narrow bore whistle. I own and play both session bore and narrow bore Burke D’s (in all three materials) and there is very little difference in the hole size and spacing between the two bores. If the spacing creates an issue for you on the session bore, the narrow bore may not do it for you either. Sorry, I don’t have any spares to trade at the moment.
