Need help with Aulos Af-1

Hello everyone.

I ‘ve been having aulos black A-440 flute for several years, and i lost the tunning rod. Nkw i need to adjust the cork and need to know the distance from the centre of the emb. hole, but cannot find it in the internet. Could anyone help me with that issue?

Cheers!

A good starting point would be to place the face of the stopper 19 mm from the center of the embouchure hole. I believe the Aulos AF-1 has a 19mm head bore diameter.

You can make micro-adjustments from that point based on how the octaves are balanced for you.

Thanks! Endeed, i could measure the diameter myself, just didn’t think about it, great idea!

I’ve just seen this. I also have an Aulos AF-1 complete with its tuning rod. While the head bore diameter is about 19mm (actually 18.8mm) the cleaning rod marker gives the cork distance as 22mm. I’ve checked the octaves with a tuning meter and this distance is correct. HTH
