Cork spacing distance

I’ve got an E Flat Flute and have not fiddled at all with cork Placement.
Is there a formula for adjusting the Cork relative to the center of the embouchure? on this E Flat Flute?

Ben, you can always start from here:

“A good starting point for the tuning cork is one head tube diameter back from the center of the embouchure.”

Kevin Krell

Rule 1: don’t fix if it ain’t broken (from painful experience).
Rule 2: see rule 1

General rule of thumb is diameter of the bore (can mark a stick to measure at the tuning slide. Use inner dimension if lined, outer dimension otherwise. The mark should line up dead centre of embouchure hole if ‘properly’ positioned.

How to check… if the cork is in the right position then D, D’ and D’’ will be in tune. And E E’ E’‘. You can also check D/D’/harmonic A/D’'.

Position affects tone. Out (>19mm) improves tone in bottom octave. In (<19mm) improves tone in high octave.

OK thank you Guys!
