Need help to identify piece of wood

Hello flute players/makers out there.
A friend of mine wants to sell a flute. Unfortunately she doesn’t have any idea who built it. As far as I know it is in the key of Eb. Obviously it’s just a piece of blackwood with some holes and some rings like every flute but I thought I could give it a try. So does anyone know what kind of flute this might be?

TIA

Could have been made by Desi Seery, his barrels look like that, I think…

Or maybe a early Hammy?

I’ve seen Pakistani flute-shaped objects that look like that.

My two cents go for a pakistan too…

How does it play? Is it in tune? If it is a lousy player, then it could be Pakistani… :imp:

I vote for Pakistani. I have not seen a Seery or Hamilton with a bulged barrel.

I’ve played this flute about half a year ago. It was quite in tune and I have played pakistani which have sounded different. So I’m not sure about that.
I’ve played a few Hamiltons also one of his earlier R&Rs and so I’m sure it’s not a Hamilton as well.

Well, it’s design suggests that it’s a Pratten model. I can’t even begin to guess the maker though.
