Identifying a flute

A couple weeks ago I saw a blackwood flute in a pawn shop, and didn’t give it much thought ( I don’t play the flute). Anyways, it was standard looking with a few keys but it had a different mouth piece. The mouth piece almost looked white. Is there any middle eastern copies that match the mouth piece description? I’m gonna check the price tomorrow and don’t want to pay for a piece of junk. Thanks!

Might be a German-style flute, with an ivory head, such as a Meyer or imitator (nach-Meyer).
Such as these:

Thanks, it looked exactly like one of those flutes. I’ll check it out in the morning!

Check if it has a name, if not, and if you’re unable to test how it sounds, I wouldn’t go over 70 euros (if it’s in unrestored conditions). If the ivory headjoint is cracked through the embouchure hole, don’t bother.

Just revive this topic to ask…anyone can identify this other one ?

No, but if he bought it new and didn’t bother identifying the maker, I wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole.
