I would like to hear the best answer that you folks can come up with. If the song, “Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright” by the Kingston Trio would be worth 5 points (2 for the Twice and 3 for the Trio) which real song by which real artists can you folks think of that would have the greatest number value? The numbers can be in both or either the song title or the artists’ name.
The first thing that comes to mind is “Heaven is 10 zillion light years away” by Stevie Wonder. Of course a zillion isn’t a real number, but it’s got to be awfully big. Then if you convert a light year into miles, kilometers, or microns, you have a really really big number.
There’s also “I never thought I’d live to be a million” by the Moody Blues. A million is a real number, but not really big.
My wife and I have an annual St. Valentine’s Day Musical Challenge. Amazingly, 19th Nervous Breakdown made it to the long list. 500 miles made it to the actual short list.
A zillion is a fictious number but that sounded good. Let’s see someone top 1 million.
We had only planned on accepting numbers that can be written with the numbers 0 through 9. The decision of the judges, not innocent bystander, is final. We’ll get back with you on that one.
Last year, we were going to work the challenge whatever way we had to just to make sure that my Aunt Kate won. she ended up winning without help so we judged by the rules.
I humbly submit: Eat For Two by 10,000 Maniacs. 10,002 is a bit less than infinity+1, but maybe there’s bonus points in that the 10,000 in question are maniacs.
All the ones I could come up with from memory (none of this internet search cheating), listed from most points to least:
