For a few years I didn’t watch movies. Lately, though, I’ve been watching a few. Friday night I watched Brokeback Mountain for the first time at my neighbor’s house. It made me cry.
Which movies have made you cry, and what are they about? Would you watch them again?
That’s why you wait until it comes out on DVD and watch it at a friend’s house or check it out from the library. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a movie.
I’m not a bit sentimental and rarely cry while watching movies. I hate being emotionally exploited and forced to cry when the director and the score wants the audience to cry. However, there are exceptions.
I have pretty much just gotten used to crying in any movie I see and many parts of life too. Anytime I see human emotion or courage or conquering adversity. I just cried in National Treasure Book of Secrets because those folks had character. My entire family still doesn’t get why I cried through Narnia. And they read the books too.
My kids bet each other on how many times I will cry in just about any movie we go to. The list of movies would go on and on and on…and on and on. One thing will ALWAYS get to me: an unexpected act of kindness or generosity.
