It looks like someone took a Generation-style low whistle and stuck a cheap Yamaha plastic alto recorder head on the top.

Another fine example of French engineering. Redwolf, it does look like a recorder head stuck on a whistle tube. I donā€™t think either community will fall in love with this one any time soon. However, while we all seem to agree it isnā€™t the cutest pig in the litter, what does it sound like?

I think a fellow from my folk club bought one of those (in Low G) at St. Chartier several years ago. If I remember right, the owner is quite pleased with it and the whistle is a pleasant and solid player - I had the chance to try it myself. Mind you, I am not absolutely sure if it is the same maker - but what chances are there that two Frenchmen would come up with the same ā€œspecialā€ design independently? :laughing:

I was going to suggest that a couple of batteries might make it sell fasterā€¦ but, of course, Iā€™m too genteel to do thatā€¦ :smiley:

I agree with Walrii, It does look like a Recorder head stuck on a Generation body. The cylindrical body,uneven tonehole size and poor tonehole placement will make this ā€œFrankenstienā€ sound ugly too.

Note on the Jubilee: Is this half of Grandmaā€™s walker? Or maybe half of the ladder from someones pool? :roll:

It does look like it would sound better than it looks though.
