That’s 10 time worse than Clarks gold diamonds. I love that they have even numbered the tone holes. ![]()
Not only is it garish, it’s misrepresented. A fife? Please.
I was going to say something like “Ugly and Loud like all things American”
Better me than you, I suppose.
Or how about : Finally a cure for whoa!
That’s a wayward clark isn’t it?
I’d say the poor little thing got hijacked. The tweaker should be mercilessly horsewhipped for crimes of bad taste perpetrated on an innocent whistle no matter how patriotic his/her intentions. ![]()
Most likely that was made in 76 ? what do you expect from something from the 70’s? I remember having a waste basket that looked just like that when I was a kid.
But then I also remember having satin shirts w/ butterfly collars and brown bellbottom cords. ![]()
Tis naught but a Cooperman tin whistle with the fancy paint job. Dale even mentions them briefly under Cooperman on the cheap whistle section of the C&F main page.
I LURV it!!! I want one!!! I’ll swap the very first production Serpent Dreadnought for one!
(PM or email if it’s you!) That is the absolute COOLEST piece of American Kitsch I’ve ever seen!
Cheers, ![]()
serpent
OK, Serpie, I’ll grant you the Kitsch Factor. ![]()
Jeez, I’ve been a grouch lately. Serp, you can have the whistle to add to your Museum-o-Kitsch along with the kitty clocks and off-color Pez® dispensers (BTW, I simply adore the painting-on-velvet of Elvis playing a rec**der!). I get to horsewhip the tweaker.
Um… upon looking at that picture and especially the ‘fife’ … That’s just wrong.

Patriotically wrong. ![]()
Take care,
