Most handsome whistle?

Okay, I know that function is always more important than form, but just out of curiosity, which whistle do you think is the most good-looking one?

Come on, yavuz! You can’t start a poll like this without giving your opinion on the matter!

When it comes to design, I really like the Colin Goldie Overtons. Very sleak aluminum with a unique fipple…looks very professional :sunglasses: and I get a lot of complements on the ones that I have.

Black Anodized High D Tunable Goldie Overton

Reyburn High D/C set

Blackwood High D Thin Weasel

Beautiful chamfer on that finger hole.

I really liked the one I tried out maed out of Snakewood

It would have been better if you put a wider angle photo of that wooden whistle. It looks good though.

Well, I really like the look of my dixon D high one piece whistle. Ok, I know it is made of cheap plastic and everything but still, it’s simplicity and pure blackness is haunting :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

couldn’t upload the image but the link is here: http://www.bigwhistle.co.uk/shop_results.asp?search=2&maker=11&tunable=2&highlow=1&cat=%2A&key=%2A&javascript:document.frmSearch2.submit();=GO+%BB&offset=15

I have a Thin Weasel A in rosewood and it would have to be my favorite. Certainly the most attractive whistle I own. My Overton Low D is also a very handsome musical machine.

I like my Generation pretty good.

The Abells are nice, too.

After a bit of a hiatus, I have returned (and the peasants rejoyced).

In terms of the metal whistles, I love the clean, sleek lines of the Dixon aluminium. You have the contrast of the black polymer fipple with the aluminium body with a brushed finish that gives the whistle a soft glow, accented with the brass ring of the tuning slide…beautiful.

I don’t have much experience with wooden whistles (I’ve only had the pleasure of playing one, a Busman if I recall. I was quite enamored with the beautiful wood grain.

My Alba Q1 is the nicest looking whistle I have seen. Every time I play it I get comments on what a nice looking whistle it is and what a nice tone it has.

After looking at Mr. Busman’s extensive collection of whistles (his own and many others) I would have to say that the most handsome whistle I have ever seen is a Busman whistle in Olivewood - Sounds nice, too!

At the moment, this is still my favorite whistle for looks … http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?p=454844#454844

nobody has mentioned the most beautiful of them all, the Busman! Mine looks amazing, i have no idea how to post an image, but you guys out there know what i’m talking about .

PS thanks sooooo much Paul for my amazing whistle, i will never put it down.

Fox 40 in F#, in Glow In The Dark injection-molded plastic!

the pink ivory is gorgeous too.

Isn’t this like asking who has the cutest grandkids?

I’ll be honest, I always choose the whistle that goes best with my outfit.

I don’t own one of these, but I like the rustic look:

I think the wood whistles win hands down on this one. Hard to beat the texture and unique look of a well made wooden instrument.

In metal, whistles, however, I like the MK Whistles because the colors are so striking.

Understand they sound good too, but I missed my chance to see them in a local store. Sold out!

Take a look at these: http://jazzwhistle.com/photos/New%20album%20source/3-colours.jpg

I saw that, swizzle.
