No, really - that’s not my question here (Even though it IS funny, eh?)
I was wondering whether anyone recognised the low whistle he is playing there… it has such a beautiful sound I love it to pieces (but at least I’m not sitting on it ). According to the player it comes from a producer somewhere in Scotland, but I was a tad tipsy and cannot remember which producer he named.
Most definitely this is a Chieftain Low D. I have only encountered one in my life. That thing was so damn loud, it put my Colin Goldie Overton to shame. I didn’t get to play it, though
It MAY be a Bernaulf whistle. They are produced in Scotland. So far as I know the production run has been EXTREMELY limited. They are available on Ebay from time to time. I have a contact email of DavidusHartley:at:aol.com (replace the :at: with an @). They are patterned after a Chieftain, but are supposedly easier blowing and designed for smaller hands.
Cheers for the answers re the non-Generation whistle Why he is blowing it out of the corner of his mouth… eh, dunno, but I do the same thing. I just find it easier to play that way.
