More Highland Games photos and sound file

I’ve posted some more Highland Games photos. I know you don’t know these people, so, you know…
I posted a sound file done on minidisc today patched into the sound board. Tim Hart, a friend of mine who plays whistle in his own band (“Tim Hart & Friends”)- that doesn’t mean I’m in his band- played a duet with me onstage- Road to Lisdoonvarna/O’Keefe’s Slide. He plays an old style Burke brass wide bore D and I play a blackwood Abell D. There’s a sound clip link right under the photo. I meant to photograph a bagpipe band, but, I couldn’t get close enough due to the deafening sound.

Tony

Wonderful tunes, Tony!

Great playing there Tony. The second tune of the set, I call it Danny Ab’s slide, anyway thats a good one. When I get an mp3 converter I’ll have to send in the slide I know as O’Keefe’s slide. It’s really interesting, isn’t it. You might hear twenty different names for a single tune, different people know them by different names. Who know’s the exact original names for trad tunes? They might have been around forever…

Cheers

Sounds great, thanks!
