looks more like a double bass player…
No No a flautist without a doubt. Why, by the way aren’t we flutists? We don’t play the flaut do we…

Hmm, upon closer examination, our Megalonyx had a pretty funky embouchure. I think it was more likely that he played this flute (these flutes?):

Put that in yer Monzani (or Photoshop) and smoke it. Time to take this one to the pub…
Hey, wait!
I think I saw Joe Burke do that once (or was it twice?)
Now getting back to John and his two-headed Monzani, I’d imagine John might be able to tell us some tales of a certain well-known flute dealer with a limp (now deceased)?

If anybody asks me I tell them who I am. Especially if I am selling a rare and expensive flute. It makes or breaks a sale.

So there was something fishy.. I wonder what.
That wascally wabbit… ![]()
Wasss up???
Don’t know, most odd. Interesting that the whole matter has completely dissappeared from Ebay as if it never existed. A search on Monzani Flute reveals two other scrummy Monzanis on offer from a Power Seller in NY.
“John” insisted in discussions reported to me that I have some vested interest in preventing others from selling flutes (his rationalisation for my comments expressing concern further up). You will all know that this is inaccurate - I don’t have old flutes for sale, so I am not in competition, but I do acquire the occasional one for my Research Collection, so I depend on flutes being available for this. I should make clear that I didn’t contact Ebay about my concerns with this sale.
This sudden end is rather unsatisfying. If the sale was legitimate, I’d hope to see it listed again, with full compliance with the Ebay system, and full transparency. And would welcome the seller back here to tell us about it and any other flutes he might have for sale from time to time.

That is wierd!
When I looked this morning, It said that it had been sold, and I was going to say “See, the guy was OK after all”…
Maybe the Homeland security moved and and nabbed him? ![]()
Does anyone have his seller name?
It was “specialytie”. He still has some sugar nips at Ebay #6191304953.
