Mike Burke Low G and Joanie Madden playing it

I picked up the Low G that Mike had donated at Joanie’s place yesterday. Joanie played the whistle and made the following comment. “I’d be proud to play this Low G whistle by Mike Burke on any stage in the world.” She then commented to me that that particuar whistle is very nice.
Anyway it is up for Auction on E bay for the Jerry O’Sullivan Benefit fund http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3741438350
please take a look.
Yes that is Joanie sitting in her living room playing the whistle. I had caught her just getting out of the shower.

OBLIGATORY POST

That says alot about either you or her. Anyone who caught me getting out of the shower would have gotten a stirring rendition of “Danny Boy” on my Generation High G! :smiling_imp:

So that’s a picture of Joanie at her worst? She still looks better than me at my best!

Anyway, take care.

Slan,
Jim

Joanie is a down to earth type of gal and when its to help a friend she goes all the way. The event we did on June 17 at the Tara Circle in Yonkers would never have come off without her hard work and leadership.
Any you should have heard her play the whistle.
The band has 2 more dates left in the US and then they are off the Southern Hemisphere to delight the Australians fans.

So true!

You going, Wombat?

They will be at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS on September 18 and 19. See ya there, Joanie! Love ya!
