March Update

In nineteen hundred and ninety eight
Began my once a month update.
Promised myself to not be late;
First of each month I’d anticipate.
But time has come alack and alas
That sometimes I have to pass;
It just seems there’s naught to say.
And though I come here everyday,
And faithful follower I will be,
You’ll not be hearing much from me.

Here’s the truth of the matter: I learn a lot here and value the Chiff and Fipple highly. I love the camaraderie and the folks who hang here. I’d love to chime in more, but it seems I have taken the path of apathy using the excuse of the way too busy. I don’t lack for whistles to build and personal correspondence to make, and the need to commercialize simply isn’t that urgent.

So it’s not farewell, it’s just “I’ll be around every day with an occasional post.” That doesn’t seem an unfamiliar characteristic of old whistlemakers; I suppose that’s my status now.

By the way, there will be changes to my website in the days to come you may want take note of.

Best regards to all!
Mack

I must admit it’s sad to see
A lack of monthly poetry.

So what if Mack misses a few days,
There are lots of us to sing his praise,
And next time I get a bonus or raise,
I’ll buy myself another great Hoover whistle. :confused:

Mack, see why we need you so badly? :laughing:

If simple rhyme be the stuff of poetry
Then a poet I’ll never be-

come

Interesting post, Mack. I find myself visiting C&F everyday, just like always. However, I also find no urge to respond to the majority of posts I read. I see this in the dearth of responses from other long-time members, also. I have thought lots about it lately, and have come to no conclusions. There is no blame to be assessed. It is what it is.

Best.
