Mack's March Mayhem (an update)

what’s a whitecap?
who’s hoover?
why’s he quiet?
where’s he now?
when will we hear?

My March order list is full. It will take much of March just to catch up making excuses for not taking more orders, leaving just enough time to fill the orders I have already taken.

It is rumored that I broke my rules and took orders before the first of the month. The rumors are true! It started in January and spread through February and now it must be stopped before it infects April.

There are also rumors that I have failed to answer some of the email messages that have been sent to me. It has not been on purpose.

Please, if you are one who has been neglected try again! Make your subject “Whistle order”. Other topics may be challenged by my protector. You can also send me a Private Message here.

Whitecaps are described on my website.
There’s some stuff about me and the other whistles;
and you can see pictures there, too, and some poetry if you want.
You can also hear samples, made by a few of my friends,
of some Hoover whistles.

In summary:
No more March orders, please!
I do answer email messages that get through to me, but if you can find your answers on my website or on the Chiff board it does simplify my life.
I still peruse the message boards, but don’t post much.
My “hobby” (whistlemaking) keeps me busy and out of trouble…

Blessings to all!

Mack

That’s true, however it can hard for whistlemakers to restrain themselves when visiting the plumbing sections of hardware stores.

Daniel, I know the start of a poem when I see it!
“…plumbing sections of hardware stores…”

Plumbing sections of hardware stores
Reap a harvest of various bores.
Curtain rods and used ski poles
Soft enough to bore the holes. Made the mistake on my saw;
Almost named that whistle “pshaw!”
Instead of alloy: stainless steel!
Took the teeth right off the wheel!
That whistle is in good hands,
But never another despite demands!
Have I got wood? You bet I do!
Make wooden whistles? I would tis true;

But first this pile of pipe must heed.

Others will have to fill the need! -Mack Hoover , 3/2/04-
