I was going to go to the show tonight, but it’s SOLD OUT!!!
What an idiot I was not to get tickets when I found out about the concert MONTHS AGO! I guess I just didn’t figure it would be that popular here, based on the attendance at other Irish music concerts in the area…
Very bad. I think C&F’lers should get an advantage when booking tickets to these kind of gigs. All the major bands should keep 50 or so tickets for every gig, reserved for real fipplers.
Dale, get to work on this. Lusnasa, Solas, CTL, Chieftains, Flook, Comas and all the other bands need to get informed on this. I got lucky when I got my tickets to the CTL concert a year ago. Not all fipplers are that lucky. This ought to be adressed.
Robin, Lunasa regularly sell out in Boston, which is only an hour away, so overflow and repeat show goers typically make for sell outs anywhere in the area…
I think they’re also at the Blackstone theatre in Cumberland RI. That makes 4 gigs within 50 miles of Boston this time around. Hardly seems like skipping.
Natalie MacMaster and Dervish are the only ITMish performers at the Somerville Theatre this winter.
I noticed that, too. They seem to be hitting lots of spots on the perimeter of metro Boston (except for the North Shore where I live). The downside of not going to Somerville is that you can’t gorge yourself on Red Bones BBQ before the show!
