Lunasa could not have been better last night. It was so awesome. Obviously, this is the first time that I have ever seen them. Not that I didnt trust you all that have met them already, but they are so nice. Just walk up to them and they will start talking. It was a great experience. O, and to all those at the pub, I had a great time. Sorry that we had to leave so early and all, but even leaving at that time got us home at 6 this morning. So, we were glad that we left when we did for the most part even though we were really enjoying the music and all.
Thanks for putting up with an beginning-threader. Still havent worked out everything on writing, but practice makes perfect!!

MAN!!! Lunasa WAS so awesome. Get this: Guys this good, and so nice in person, just doesnt happen very often. During the weeks leading up to the concert, I thought about what I would say if given the oportunity to speak with the guys in the band, especially Kevin Crawford. When I walked up to him and said hello, he must have known I was one of his biggest fans, because he extended his hand and upon shaking his hand, he took his arm and placed it around me in a most trusting one-arm hug. The guy is bustling with humor, warmness, genuosity, and talent (obviously!).
MANY MANY thanks to He and the rest of the guys of Lunasa and the wonderful concert in Tarpon Springs, and I had fun with the folks at Bridie’s Pub, downtown Tarpon.

Yes, the concert was great! Kept bouncing between just enjoying the music and scrutinizing Sean’s bowing. It was also great sessioning at Bridie’s with everyone from Sarasota, Tampa, and even Vicki and Scott from Orlando. We ended up spending a lot of time with Trevor, Lunasa’s bass player after you left, and they finally kicked us out of the pub at around 1:30 or 2:00 a.m., but then we took over the porch outside the pub and sessioned until 4:00 a.m. The local cops kept circling around, trying to figure out why a bunch of people were playing fiddles, whistles, flutes, banjos, bodhrans and guitars at 4:00 am, and one of them actually followed me most of the way on my drive back to our hotel…we must have looked quite suspicious (must have been the bodhran).
I hope they come back soon…not only was it great to hear them play and meet them, but it was so cool to see all of the Florida folkies drawn to one place and then to be able to jam with them…the next time that will happen is likely to be the Florida Folk Festival in May at White Springs…you guys going to that?
Yep…They were at the North Texas Irish Festival this weekend. They said they hoped to have the CD sometime next month. Hopefully it’s as good as the other three!
Who thinks they could possibly go the to the Lunasa concert the end of the month (March 27) in Ashville, NC? Tradman and I cant make it. School gets in the way of everything. Hope to hear from you all soon!!
