Lord of the Rings

Hi there! Does anyone know where I might be able to find the sheet music for a Key of D Tin Whistle for Lord of the Rings songs. Any song would be wonderful.

Well… Gandalf would probably just throw a firecracker in the air, watch it explode, catch the elfsong whistle falling out of it, nod a thanks to the elves in the woods and with a dry smile start playing by ear and from memory every song he’s ever come by…

Jokes aside: I’d guess the LotR stuff is heavily copyrighted so you might not have too much luck finding any of it for free. I don’t know if the merchandising company already thought of selling LotR songbooks, if yes, these would be the place to start. Or you get the DVD and learn the music by ear (but be careful not to perform them in public or give anything away on the net, or the lawyers will be after you…).

Also use the search available for this discussion board to look for “LotR” or “Lord of the Rings”, I think there have been threads on this before.

cheers,

Sonja

A lot of the tunes can be picked out by ear pretty easily if you feel oddly compelled to try it. I thought it was fun, anyway.

This might or might not help.

Hey Gandalf, I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for but give these sites a look.http://www.8notes.com/forum/1_2340.asp also http://board.midibuddy.net/t35425.html and http://www.mj-holmes.com/Music.html this last one is pretty neat with midis and sheet music. to get the score from any midi try midinotate . you can get a free trial version at their site ,it’s the full version but you get it for only a month or so. I’ve found it a great asset when hearing a midi i like. I can get the notation and print it where i wouldn’t otherwise be able to find it.

Good luck

This is pretty ironic. I think that if anyone would know, it would be Gandalf the Gray. You could try Saruman, but whatever you do, don’t go up his tower!
