Looking for a banjo case for a 17 fret ...

… I sort of rolled the dice to decide just where to post this… figured that this was as likely as any spot on these boards.

I have an old 5 string beauty of a Gatcomb that needs a real case rather than this glorified cardboard box it came to me with.

Anybody got one out there spare? The inner length needs to be at least 34", the pot is 12" diameter, and depth needs to be at least 3".

I can do a little repair, but don’t want a basket case.

TIA!!

Edited to add… BTW, I’m not asking you to just give it to me (though if you insist, I won’t argue  ), I do expect to pay for it.

I’m a mando player, so don’t go askin me fer a banjo case

Just kidding, if I had one I’d let you have it!

Thanks, Tyler. The thought’s worth … something…

Have you tried eBay?

you might want to ask on the B@nj* Hangout board:

I missed a good one there two weeks ago. I’ve been spending loads of time looking this last few days. There’s a really nice old Vega case, but I’m afraid it’s too shrt… and pricey.

Thanks for the suggestion and link!

Edited to add… WOW! Great site! I may have to divide my time between there and here… fun!

Dunno about cases. I’ve been looking for one for my own short scale tenor banjo. However there is a short scale banjo gigbag which looks like good day-to-day protection. I’m going to get one of these.

It’s a UK store though…

Thanks Budduh!
