listings for all-ireland finals

(sorry if i’ve asked this before)

i’d love to see rankings for the pipes in all-ireland competions going way back to whenever they started (late 50s?) but can’t find them online

i’d liketo see where the likes of o’flynn and finbar furey were placed as well as the next generation: mick o’brien, gay mckeon etc

another thing that would interest me is pipers who did well but did not become well-known who i may not have heard of, and also what the rankings were in years where more than one named-piper competed against another

and if this information has not been collected perhaps it would be something somebody who is involved in research might be interested in pursuing

Unlike other senior competitions at the Fleadh, winning the senior pipes competition (in my time at least) was less of an achievement than an under 18 medal, a lot of the of time there was only one or two competitors and as a result the standard was lower at times, underage competitors sometimes didn’t bother competing in it.
