Yes, they were trying to show the satellite feed on CNBC yesterday, live, and it was rather anticlimactic. You probably had to be there. 
Given the choice, and the occasion, I’ll opt for not being there.

I overheard a conversation in my wife’s beauty shop this morning. The women were talking about the moon. Two of the women thought that the moon generated its own light, like the sun. They must have been asleep that day in school when the teacher talked about the solar system. After I stared at my wife in disbelief on a previous occasion, she now is somewhat embarrased that she once held that idea herself. She now knows that the moon’s light is merely a reflection from the sun. I’m sure that I am ignorant about so many things. I’m with President Obama that we need to extend the school day and the school year to better prepare our young people for the realities of the modern world.
The moon impact was about as exciting as the Summer Olympic announcement in Chicago.
