I watched the launch this morning at the expense of being a bit late for work. It’s still exciting that man has learned to harness such energy for scientific exploration. I thought of some of the more short-sighted folk who make the eternal argument about earthly needs instead of continuing space exploration. It’s part of the picture, not a frill, for advancement. It just seems like a person has to point it out.
It was thrilling and of course, we all watch differently since the Challenger blew up, and wait until the boosters drop etc. etc.
