I was actually wondering how many people here were aware enough of the team of priests resident in Craggy Island Parochial House in order to get what I meant.

They are wildly popular here, all series are broadcast at least once a year and actor Frank Kelly who plays father Jack was complaining recently in a newspaper interview he still can’t go out on the street without being followed by a crowd of little boys that shout FECK! ARSE! etc

…And what a gig…Kelly’s time spent learning his lines would be sweetly short indeed. Why, you could ad lib, and who would notice?
