Kiernan chanter on ebay

I’d love to hear opinions on the Kiernan chanter now at auction on ebay. Work away, all.

Nine days left… let’s see what happens.

I have heard Kiernan chanters before and they sound pretty nice. Sweet, warm, and reedy, but not very loud; it would be a nice chanter for practicing tunes late at night.

Since you’re gonna spend a mint for a flat set body anyway, you might as well just buy the whole flat set, chanter included, and keep this Kiernan around for sh*ts and giggles.

Less than two days left in this auction… The reserve has been met (much lower than I expected) with 10 bids the price is still under $200.
This appears to look like a sensible auction and not a runaway train!

I’m wondering if bidder emer101 is Emer Mayock.

Now I can sleep tonight. The minimum bid just went out of my price range ($400ish).

I’m guessing fair market value ought to go over $600.

Market Forces.
Mark sleeps well tonight knowing they work. If they didn’t, I’d have been up at 3 am bidding on this animal.

All the action happens at the end, anyhow.

Dionys, this is one of the best auctions I’ve seen (except for emer101 overbidding) the ending price was less than I expected.

I know. I just did not want to stay up til 3 am and then not be able to afford it. Just ask Loren about that Overton and see what he thinks about my sniping skills.

Somebody got a good deal on that chanter, thats for sure.

True enough. It went for a very fair price. So fair in fact that I bid on it at the last few moments. Unfortunately I forgot my password until it was too late. Oh well. Great buy for the new owner. Let us know how it sounds.
