John & his guitar partner Dean Magraw performed an extraordinary concert here in Winnipeg a couple of weeks ago. They are a truly amazing duo and compliment each other musically in a most wonderful way. John was as usual stunning on the concertina & button accordion…but this concert he even played whistles! (he only used whistle in a teaching workshop last time he was here)
My gosh is he a lovely whistle player…is there no end to this man’s talents??
I strongly urge anyone who has the chance to hear him perform to rush & buy your tickets ASAP. And if he is not in your neighbourhood buy his new CD, it is every bit as polished, musical and dynamic as his first ( & I bought myself 2 of those) And to top it off he is a very nice guy!
