I can’t believe it’s over already!
I think this is fast becoming my favorite “holiday”. An excuse to be publicly
silly seems to go a long way for me. I drove around yesterday blasting sea
chanteys, and I bought a Jolly Roger flag to fly out on my house. Guess I’ll
take it down this morning.

-The thread title didn’t detail what it meant, but everybody knows it means gazpacho season, when racy tomatoes finally in season show off. Here be my recipe (stolen of course as befits a buccaneer):

4 ripe arrghloom tomatoes
1 cucumbarrgh
1 stalk celarry
2 cloves garrlic
3-4 tbsp wine vinegarrgh
1/4 cuo arrlive oil
salt & pepparrgh to taste

Chop and combine all in a glass bowl & chill for 2 hours
Puree & season to taste
Serve in chilled bowl with fresh basil garrnish

Somehow the ol’ skull n crossbones don’t seem so terrible threatnin’ on a pink background.
